After going here on a midweek night and having a great night we went to there for the buffet night(last Friday of the month). All the food was cooked fresh as we sat and had a glass of wine and ready about 20 mins after the time we where told to arrive.great tastes and very nice to be able to try something you might not if just going in for a set meal.the owner was on hand to answer any questions about what was being served.great night will be going again

Staying at Sandwich, we booked The Patogh after reading reviews on here, and never having tasted Persian fare before, we decided to let our taste buds be the judge....and what a discovery they made! The menu is truly reflective of Persian Food - Rich, Unctuous, Gorgeously Tasty & Beautifully Presented, and I have to say that the service we received was typically Persian - helpful, polite & informative - all this AND a discount for being in the Gourmet Society! if you are looking for superb food & excellent hospitality look no further than Patogh, where your taste buds will be whisked away on a magic carpet ride to heaven.... Brilliant - Continued Success.

The meals we had were delicious and all freshly cooked.
The service was excellent.
The atmosphere was relaxing.
I would highly recommend Patoghs to anyone.
We are hopefully returning for another meal later
this month with some friends of ours.
If you check out their website, I would just say,
there is more choice on the restaurant
menu than is shown on the site.
One more thing, the drinks are a very reasonable price
unlike many of the restaurant chains.

Based on the reviews on here my partner booked a table for the buffet (always on the last Friday of the month) for my birthday treat. It costs £15 per head and you can eat as much as you like. The buffet offered several rice dishes, plus lamb, chicken and duck dishes and a couple of vegetarian options. In front of the hot dishes were some lovely salad dishes including the most amazing potato salad. I know it sounds crazy to rave about a potato salad, but it was truly fabulous! There were also minced lamb kebabs and homemade hummous (to die for). We were very surprised, having cleared two platefuls each, to then be offered a choice of dessert, from freshly made fruit salad or chocolate ice-cream to chocolate lumpy bumpy cake or homemade baklava. We opted for the lumpy bumpy cake and the baklava - both were truly scrumptious. All of this was washed down with a lovely bottle of Australian Shiraz at £14.50 (not unreasonable for a restaurant in this day and age). If you haven't tried Patogh's before, then I can absolutely recommend it. Some of the other diners were ordering from the main menu, and their meals also looked very nice indeed. It's such a shame that the restaurant wasn't full for a Friday night but it has its regulars, which is encouraging, so please give it a try. With various restaurants in Ramsgate falling by the wayside, it would be a tragedy if Patogh's didn't survive. We will definitely be going back as soon as we can to order from the main menu, having tasted many of their dishes. Saeed, the chef, was so warm and friendly and explained all the dishes to us and he worked like an absolute demon all evening.
