“Small and friendly family run.”

We have dined there quite a few times over the past 10 years or so and always found it to be friendly and excellent italian food. The menu is extensive and varied. Because its small, booking is reccomended.

“A great dinner - we'll always remember !”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

In 1993 we had dinner in this small Italian restaurant in Dover - the "Italian mama" came out and greeted us ... 20 yrs later we are back and she is still in the kitchen and took the time to come out and say hello again... Its so sweet when something's stay the same.
We had a fabulous meal - and our waiter was the such fun and guided us through our meal and wine selection.

“Never Fails”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Went back again last week and the quality and service is fantastic. No, you don't want to be in a hurry but everything is prepared to order by mamma, not a microwave reheat. Get there about once a year but wouldn't miss it for the world. We started with bread and olives. Great. Bread so fresh. I had smoked salmon and my husband and brother had mussels and antipasta to start. Such good portions. My husband and I had the stuffed chicken, my brother the spaghetti and clams and his partner lasagne. The pasta dishes were apparently excellent and well praised. The potatoes, courgettes and carrots were excellent. I believe the potatoes and courgettes came from their allotment. To finish was ice cream and lemon sorbet. All really good. Never had a lemon sorbet so good as that. Don't believe the bad reviews, talking rubbish.

Small with a good atmosphere and friendly service.

“Quaint”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

This place is what I would call blast from the past Italian restaurant. No slick waiters or contemporary design, just good old fashioned Italian food, cooked by the Mamma in the kitchen and served by the sons in the small but cosy front of house. The atmosphere was great, with the majority of the customers regulars who all seemed to know each other. Portions were large and filling and the dessert of Mammas home made apple pie was amazing.
