OK so I am biased, Keith parfitt who discovered the bronze age boat is my cousin. Having talked at length with him about the boat and its excavation and preservation I was anxious to see it up close. The glass enclosure allows you to see it in it's entirity and there are hands-on activities in the boat gallery including tying rope knots and impressions of how the boat might have looked when it sailed.
There's much more to Dover museum including exhibitions on the town's role in the second world war as well as galleries which change. One time I visited there was an exhibition of vintage cameras which is also right up my street.
Well worth a visit if you want to see the boat and learn more about Dover's considerable history.
