“A long wait to nowhere.”
Reviewed August 17, 2014

It is great when goes well. Sadly now we now why the coach companies constantly use it regardless of their poor to bad service. They get meals served quicker in their own little café. The rest of us have to wait in line for ages then have trouble finding seats.

Delayed heavily on the way out by nearly two hours and delayed coming back by under an hour. The excuses you hear and surprising, but they do have nearly a monopoly.

“Ferry out - Bad. Ferry in - Good”
Reviewed August 14, 2014 via mobile

Travelled Dover Calais return
With P&O
On the way out, owing to a technical issue with a vessel we were delayed and ended up arriving in Calais nearly 4hrs late.
This was a real shame as it ruined our planned evening in Bruges.
There was nothing in the way of compensation just a tannoyed sorry once on board, because of the delay and cancellations the ferry was heaving with passengers.
The return was completely different,
On time, space to sit on board, quite a pleasant crossing.
I think P&O could do more to
Compensate their customers when
You have been delayed for so long.
The tunnel have previously given 50% discount off your next crossing when delayed.
I think in future I will go via the tunnel.

“Ferry Calais - Dover”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

An amazing ride by fairy with P&O from Dover to Calais. The sea was peaceful and it took as about an hour and a half to reach Calais Port. We had a delicious English breakfast on the fairy. Though there was an hour delay at Calais Port to board on the fairy.

“Very Poor”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

We travelled back from Calais on this service last Sunday and it was very, very poor. The toilets were overflowing, there were not enough seats for all the passengers (we couldn't even upgrade to the member's lounge as they were too busy to serve everyone). The staff were slow and not interested in providing any sort of good customer service. We had travelled to France with Brittany Ferries on another route and they were brilliant. Would not travel with P&O again.

“Pride of Canterbury”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

Raw pasty - partly defrosted and lukewarm. My wife and I were expecting it to move of its own accord!. Do P&O really expect travelers to put up with this sort of food and indifferent service? On the way back (this time on the Pride of Kent) they almost ran out of food, leaving us no choice except an extremely unappetizing and inadequately toasted cheese and tomato sandwich. Give me Brittany Ferries every time.
