“Great little find!”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

This great restaurant had Very friendly and welcoming service with traditional Moroccan decoration and warm atmosphere. The quality and quantity of the food surpassed expectation with generous fresh portions. We had a seafood sharing platter for two to start the meal which hosted 5 tapas dishes with bread and almonds - the reason this review hasn't got 5 stars is that there was one stuffed pepper and one mussel which are not the easiest things to share!!
The main course “Royale” Lamb And Chicken Brochette, Merguez Sausages" was £16.95 and MORE than enough for two people even though mains were for one person. Very tasty!
Lastly the wine was good value and I would recommend and re-visit this lovely restaurant again!

“A fantastic venue”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

A wonderful restaurant with fantastic food. The service is outstanding and the quality of the food is superb. It is well worth a visit. Main meals (not the tapas) are about £15 each but well worth it.

“Great service, food and atmosphere!”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

I had been recommended this restaurant from a work colleague and it definitely did not disappoint! At first, we were put on a small table right beside the stairs, till and kitchen with lots of people constantly walking past but we asked to be moved somewhere a bit better and they were happy to do so. Our waitress was really lovely and attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered 7 tapas dishes between us and this was plenty! I highly recommend the tortilla and the chorizo. And the halloumi! The blood orange and raspberry sorbet was the perfect finish. Really great atmosphere and decor. It would be great for couples, group of friends, family, anyone and everyone :)

“Perfect experience”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

Went to Cafe Mauresque with my wife on Friday 30 May. Welcome was friendly and efficient, being asked where we wanted to sit. We went downstairs which has an intimate feel. Great service from the waitress with a good knowledge of the food. Food was great and particularly liked Fried Potatoes with Harissa Yoghurt & Lamb Meat Balls Cooked in Tomato and Red Wine. Will return when we have family down as babysitters again.
