Description: Located opposite the Canterbury Cathedral, Strada attracts an eclectic mix of local pizza lovers and hungry visitors from out of town. This popular Italian restaurant chain is famous for its authentic handmade pizzas - which are cooked in a traditional forno a legna wood-fired oven – and its extensive menu of rustic, regional pastas and puddings are made using only the finest fresh ingredients such as Parma ham, extra virgin olive oil and Buffalo mozzarella imported from Italy. Perfect for business lunches and cosy evening meals, you can’t go wrong with Strada’s successful formula of simple, tasty food combined with sleek design, friendly service and a buzzy, down-to-earth atmosphere. The proof, as they say, is in the pizza.

“Excellent meal”
Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

A group of 4 of us had an early supper here before a concert in the cathedral. Friendly welcome and good service. Food well flavoured and good portions - my Strozzapreti Roberto and my wife's Penne arrabbiata were particularly good. Very good Tiramisu. Overall better than Stradas we have been to in London and Birmingham. Recommended.

“Amazing food- never fails to deliver”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

The food here is simply to die for. My wife and I both had the sea bass with the most delicious basil mash. I had polpette which are pork meatballs in a gorgeous sauce to start. Highly recommended restaurant with friendly staff.

“Canterbury & Southbank”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I went here as part of girly trip to Canterbury. Stumbled up here as it is directly opposite the cathedral. Good quality food and well priced. Portions are generous. Went to the Southbank one and exactly the same. Ordered a garlic pizza bread and was so large, I could have had it as a mains.

“A pleasant meal”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

We were having a two night break in Canterbury and chose our first evening meal at Strada. The food was very tasty and cooked well, the surroundings were very pleasant and the service good. We had no problem ordering tap water which came with ice and lemon. A very nice evening.
