An unusual property suitable for a large party - we were 8 adults. It consists of the modern 2-story Cedar House and the tall thin Victorian ArtHouse sharing the same courtyard (each house can be rented separately). Both houses are well-furnished and comfortable. The ArtHouse bedrooms are up two steep flights of stairs, one bathroom being a long way downstairs, so not suitable for less mobile people. (No access problem in the Cedar House.)
The ArtHouse has a small kitchen and dining room, however the kitchen and dining/sitting area in the Cedar House were spacious enough for our whole party.
The main attraction is the location - just 5-10 mins walk from the centre of Canterbury with all its great buildings, parks, shops and restaurants. It's close to buses and train station, also the Stour Valley and North Downs footpaths. We enjoyed walks, and visits to Whitstable and Margate, as well as the pleasures of Canterbury itself.
The courtyard and entrance archway are narrow, making it tricky to drive in and out if your party has several cars - we had no need to use cars during our stay. There were other minor issues e.g. with the hot water supply. Sebastian and Adelle the owners are kind and welcoming, and they dealt quickly and helpfully with any queries or problems.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Sebastian and Adelle were extremely helpful in every way. Canterbury is a wonderful town with so much history, fascinating medivial buildings, and of course, Canterbury Cathedral, loads of restaurants, beautiful surround área and easy travelling to London. We definitely will come again.

We rented both properties for 4 couples for a long weekend. Location is perfect for visiting Canterbury, can walk anywhere. Be prepared to juggle cars in long drive as exit is on to a slightly busy road. Secure and quiet when gates shut. Cedar House bedrooms vary, one very spacious with good facilities, other smaller, a bit tight on space (no photo of this bedroom on website). Beds comfortable. Dining area and lounge were fine, although not as good as website photos. Kitchen lacked a few basics for home entertaining but ok for breakfast or if eating out. Art House seemed a bit more tired generally.
