If only more restaurants could be half as good as Oscar and Bentleys when it comes to gluten free. Absolutely EVERYTHING is suitable for coeliacs, from beer battered fish and chips (oh the joy of being able to have safe fried food!) to the delicious cakes and breads. I had the fish and chips (after five years of no batter I couldn't resist) and my other half had an assortment fish sea food platter which was also lovely. We took away two pieces of cake, pecan coffee and lemon lime which didn't even make it home! The service was also great and the prices very reasonable, £32 for two mains, two drinks and two pieces of cake, I will definitely be back and would recommend anyone else to go, even if your not gluten free it's a lovely place to eat but if you are it cannot be missed!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Canterbury and decided to have dinner at this place as the reviews were so good. What a fantastic decision!! We were welcomed by the nicest lady that I have ever encountered. The place is beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. The food was super tasty. I had the veggie burger, my other half the normal burger, both of them come with hand cut chips and some garlic mayo. All very flavoursome. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting the area.

We went twice to this restaurant. First time with our 5 and 3 year olds who were very tired and difficult to contain and second time without children.
On both occasions we were pleasantly surprised.
First time round by the incredible patience and professionalism as our kids were rather loud and on both occasions by the food. we had four different starters and mains in total and all were very enjoyable and of high quality. they all had one thing in common -we though- and that was that ingredients were fresh and chosen with care.
the price value ratio is very acceptable and as such we will come back.

This is a really nice little restaurant we stumbled across. The service was super friendly, the decor very contemporary and the food was very good. We had a veggie burger and a meat burger, but there were plenty of tempting dishes to choose from on the menu. Both meals were very good, although if I was being picky, the beef burger could still be improved. Overall Though, very happy with our meal here. They even have free wifi.....

We visited Oscars on the 3rd August 2014. There were 4 of us and one baby. We decided to try here as one of our friends is gluten intolerant and we usually struggle to find any where.
From the minute we sat down, we were taken care of. We ordered cocktails, a mocktail and a coke float(for the eldest person) and were not disappointed by the flavours or strength.
Food was fantastic, the lamb and tahini wrap was gorgeous, the open brie and bacon burger and fish and chips was huge and the chinese platter was beautiful. All full of flavour and you wouldn't have known it was all gluten free.
Deserts were lovely, Id definately recommend the lemon and vodka sorbet-refreshing with a lovely kick of booze.
The trade got busier whilst we were there yet we never felt forgotten. Service was polite and attentive and they knew the menus well.
We will definitely be visiting again.
