I stayed 2 nights with a group. Was amazed at the individual care and attention that each and every person working in the establishment offered to me. Very friendly and comfortable. So much so that I will be back to spend more time enjoying Canterbury and your hotel in the very near future!

We often stay in Canterbury and until now have done so in another hotel nearby. So we tried the Abbots Barton and were pleasantly surprised that it was better than the other hotel in every respect.
It is very clean although could not with some updating. Everthing worked, service was good and the breakfast delicious.
Free wifi although you have to go through a tortuous process of signing up to "The Cloud" and even then it was patchy in the room.
Apart from that, a good hotel and we will stay there again.

It is very nice to hear that you chose to stay at the Best Western Abbots Barton hotel for a change rather than your regular hotel. Even better that we stood out from the crowd.

I take on board your remarks about the Wi-Fi, which once an account is set up, it becomes very simple to use. Occasionally you can incur some dips on reception, I hope this did not inconvenience you too much.

We stayed the night on a special AmazonLocal deal. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable with a delicious breakfast and exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Ideal location for a visit to Canterbury as the city centre was less than 15 mins walk with plenty to see and do when we got there. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you.

Got a voucher from Amazon Local for B&B here. Only 1/2 mile walk to the Cathedral. Hotel was comfy and cosy, friendly reception staff. Room was snug, a little dark and very warm, but happily we were in the old part of the house. Bathroom was quite big. Good TV, free wifi, tea and coffee. Comfy kingsize bed, clean throughout. Restaurant menu seemed expensive, had a bar mea insteadl, still a bit pricey, and slightly cold when it came. Not enough to complain about as overall experience was very relaxing. Breakfast was standard cold buffet and optional hot choices, all nice enough. Characterful hotel in a great location.

Room Tip: Room 104 or 106 bigger and one is a suite? room 105 is smaller with little window.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding to your stay in Canterbury.

The rooms you speak about would be one of our deluxe rooms(104), the Suite (106) and room 105, which is a standard double, hence why this is a little smaller than the larger rooms.
We do try where possible to offer upgrades to our guests, in order for them to experience the different room types we have at the hotel. So pleased you enjoyed yours.

Our continental breakfast offers a vast array of produce, plus a menu with many hot choices, including, Catch of the Day, Eggs Florentine and even a Champagne breakfast for any special occasions.

The Fountain restaurant serves a seasonal menu of modern British fayre using locally and ethically sourced ingredients where possible. We feel that the menu is of high quality, therefore this is reflected in the cost, which is competitively priced.

Thank you for choosing to stay and if you should visit our lovely city again, we would love to see you again.

We got married at the Abbots on 7th September 2013 with a total of 150 guests attending. The hotel could not have been more perfect, the ceremony room is beautiful and the main function room big enough to house our guests.
The staff were there to cater for our every wish and truly made this a day to remember. We stayed the night as did several guests enjoying a breakfast next morning. The hotel had just employed a new chef and we have to say produced the most amazing food for us and our guests.
If you are planning a wedding then this hotel is a must with the manager and wedding planner being there for us right from the start and always willing to help out when required and attend to your every need. We will look back for years to come at the great day we had made even more the better by this venue and its fantastic staff.

Room Tip: All the rooms that us and our guests had were excellent with a fantastic honeymoon suite.

I find it very hard to find a fault with our stay here. The staff - all the way from the Reception Staff to the Restaurant Staff were well trained, highly professional, extremely helpful and very very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable, in excellent condition,contained everything you'd expect to find and were very very clean. The breakfast contained great variety, was very fresh and plentiful.
No... no matter how hard I try, I just can't find fault!

We booked via Amazon local, the room was relatively small considering there was 3 of us. The interior was a little dated and not like the ident-i-kit hotels. That said everything worked just fine.

Breakfast was surprising giving the reviews here. Pastries were either cooked the night before or very cheap, they certainly didn't have crunch to them. We asked about vegetarian sausages but they didn't have any.

The hotel is only a short walk from the town and in a good location.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room if you're a family

Thank your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay.

The room you booked to accommodate three people,would have been a triple, with three single beds and or a family room which can accommodate four persons, so because these rooms hold multiple beds, the room may have come across as smaller. they are however, very adequate to sleep three or more people.

All our pastries and croissants are freshly cooked the morning of the breakfast, some may be lighter baked than others. I am sure if you had mentioned this to one of my waiting staff, they would have had a few baked a little crisper for you.

Where possible, we try to deliver our guests requests, especially if it is mentioned at the time of booking. However, we do not have many requests for vegetarian sausages, as I feel most of our guests choose one of the many vegetarian options form the breakfast menu.

The Best Western Abbots Barton hotel is Gothic in style, therefore unforgettable in appearance. As with all Best Western hotels, they are unique and individual, which brings out the personality of the hotel and staff.

Why would we wish to be identical to our neighbouring BW hotels, this is why we choose to be part of the Best Western brand.

With the city being so close, it is an ideal place to stay, we do hope you will return to visit us.
