We went at lunchtime and I think it's probably much more of a lunchtime place rather than a dinner venue. There is a great choice of beers which is obviously the main reason for going! The food is also really nice and there is a good variety of sandwiches, platters, mains and sides. The foundry is nice and airy and staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Well worth a visit for lunch or just for a drink if you're a beer fan!

We have popped in here a few times for a quick beer ( the choice is huge and the standard very high) but on this occasion decided to try the food as well.
My wife opted for a sausage sandwich and I had the home cured gammon sandwich, both on
brown. The menu warned us that the bread was doorstep, and when they arrived we saw that they weren't kidding ! The sandwiches were delicious and came with pickles and loads of salad - just what we fancied. The service was excellent and we intend to try the restaurant upstairs next time we go.
We both chose the Gold ale - my wife with a lemon top - and I am a great fan of this beer. For a real ale fan it's hard to beat the ambience of watching through the brewery window to see the head of a new brew pouring over the top and down the sides of fermenting vessels !
Value is excellent...the food and 2 and a half pints came to £19 - very reasonable.

Great burger, good range of local brew, friendly staff. Off the main high street and don't be put off by the exterior.

The food was ok but not the service. They let us wait for more than one hour to be served and didn't even apologise.
