The gardens are lovely and quite extensive. Wonderful place to have a picnic before hitting the shops!

Quiet peaceful setting for a picnic or a gentle romantic stroll.
Idillic location in centre of busy Cambridge.

Lovely gardens in the centre of Canterbury to take a lunch in or simple sit and relax in. It can get quite busy but is a large area so there is always space. The river is full of ducks and swans which you can also watch and feed and if you take a walk along the river you can see wild horses as well. Beautiful flowers, benches and architecture of the churches make this an excellent place to relax in!

Lovely gardens and a great place to have a picnic, walk through them and carry on under the railway bridge and you come to an even older railway bridge and broad open fields. The gardens themselves are very well kept and in summer me and friends often go down with a beer or two and paddle in the river !
