When visiting Canterbury you soon get caugut by one of the fats food places to have a quick lunch. Something I do not care for very much. Drawn to The Cricketer by the recommendations on Trip Advisor my familiy decides to have our late lunch thee last Friday and we were not disappointed!
Chris, the owner of the pub and chef, welcomed us and from the start made us feel welcome and shows passion about his pub. So did the rest of the pub with local guests, friendly staff and the Total impression we got was good. Food was very good as well, we ate fish and chips, very light batter not fatty at all, and ham, eggs and chips, loods of ham with good chips and eggs to accompany. Business is done with local, reliable butchers and so on and it shows. Good quality and plenty of food on your plate at decent prices of around ten pounds and a drink. Well done! I already made an appointment for next year and promised to wrote the recommendations as soon as I got back to The Netherlands. Do not go there all atonce, mind you, We want to go there as well and the strong local atmoshere should be kept at all times.......
Keep upthe good work,Chris.
