“A bit of France in Kent”

Whether for a coffee, pastry or Croque Monsieur we have always had a good experience here and feel like it is stepping into a really good French cafe without having to cross the channel.

“Authentic french style”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

When you walk through the door you could be in Paris, authentic french looking cafe. I've been here a few times and the food is fresh and drinks are good too. Staff always seem friendly which is always important. Nice to sit outside too on the high street with a drink.

“OK, not the best cafe in Canterbury”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

I have been here twice now and have enjoyed the baguettes on both occasions. This is a good French cafe. The service however has never been very good- the waitress didn't even bring us menus on our second trip (we sat outside) and didn't bother to return our greeting when we arrived, despite noticing us. She was too busy chatting to the other waitress!

I didn't have a drink on the first visit, the second time I had an orange juice, which was the worst orange juice I have had anywhere in Canterbury. It cost £2.30 for a watery, tasteless glass of it. I could have bought a whole carton of top quality OJ for that price!!!

As we were paying, we were wondering aloud whether to buy any French cakes to take away as they looked so good. Here would have been a good opportunity for the waitress to pick up on this and maybe suggest something. We felt as though we were being very rushed by them however, so we left and bought a cake at Patisserie Valerie instead.

Overall, if you like French baguettes and croissants, this is a lovely place to eat with a beautiful garden. If you like a good orange juice and some customer service, I don't think that this cafe is for you!

“very very very cute”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

Best iced coffee I have ever had. Lovely food and very friendly service. Cafe is cute and the seating out front and back is nice. Nice to be outside of the hustle and bustle but still watch the people walk by.

“Like being in France”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

From the decor to the ingredients to service: once you walk into Cafe St Pierre and the little bell on the door chimes, it is as if you have actually teleportedto France.

This place is wonderful and authentic. Everything is fresh and the only problem I have here is deciding what to choose from as everything is so tempting.

This place has a charm which is becoming harder and harder to find.
