Here was the shrine of Thomas Becket, visit by pilgrims during the early Middle Ages. Chauser wrote based on this the famous Canterbury Tales. The cathedral and crypt are open for public, you can even take photos. Walk around the church, at the far end of the navy there are some nice ruins. The inner yard is also very beatiful. The entrance ticket is quite high with almost 10GBP. Trick: after 3pm wasn't anybody at the ticket office. Furthermore from the backyard you could enter the church without paying. But paying the entrance ticket you are supporting the restoration of the church.
