“OK but nothing special really, apart from the memorial.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Trees, token flowerbeds, and grass with a few seats.Empty bandstand, fountain.Normally kept in good order but , apart from the memorial, nothing remarkable except the traffic noise.
Much prefer Westgate Gardens at the other end of the city.

“Make sure you sit a while”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

I like The Peace Garden but as I have been told, don't leave food around, it can attract unwelcome visitors!

The path, round the fountain, towards the station is a good choice, for starters. Admire the bandstand but .shame I have never seen a band there. Past the fountain and then .... Do you carry on out of he park or head for the City Wall and the Monument?

Whatever your choice it is another pleasant space to sit and read, reflect or just laze.

“Delightful open space”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

The Mound with easy path to top with superb views, access to the walls, modern fountain (grapefruit?!) and Victorian bandstand - could dream of living in one of the apartments overlooking this area.

“Big o'garden”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

It's like a garden filled with Scene kids. They all congregate around the band stand and huff paint thinner. Stay away from those kids and you'll be alright.
