Review of Santino's - CLOSED

Santino's
Restaurant details
Reviewed June 8, 2017 via mobile

This cafe with its lovely cheeses, fantastic olives and extraordinarily imaginative rolls (sandwiches) has closed.

It appears to have been taken over by someone else and it now has a new name.

Oddly, it has no toilet.

Been popping into Santino's occasionally for over 10 years. Nick makes stunning rolls with astonishing tastes. Amazing range of fillings. Plus the best olives I have ever eaten.

It's small and very friendly. The coffee is good.

The only downside is that there is no lavatory.

Santino's is a great place for meeting up with friends or work colleagues. Very convenient for shops, city centre and the local parks. As well as some of the best coffee in St Albans, the owner can create the most amazing cakes for any type of celebration. A real treat.

Santino's is small delicatessen and café. When we visited the place was busy with young families have late morning coffee / early lunch. Both the owners and customers were friendly and welcoming. Coffee was good and so were the little treats we had with it. There was a newspaper to read and we took home some fresh Italian bread that made the most wonderful toast.
