“A fantastic place to stay.”
Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

We only stayed for one night but will definitely return. A huge and very comfortable bed and a beautifully decorated, quiet room. We enjoyed the selection of drinks and biscuits available in the room. The en-suite was huge with an amazing bath/shower and a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Every detail on the room had obviously been carefully considered. The breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice of cereal, pastries and fruit available as well as well as bacon etc. We particularly enjoyed the unusual fig and hazelnut toast. This is a very good value place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone visiting St Albans.

We really enjoyed our time at Fleuchary. The breakfast was fantastic and Linda was very hospitable and friendly. The attention to detail was incredible - very high quality furnishings and fittings. We also had free parking at the front of the house and were just a 5 minute walk from town.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back of the house (not facing the main road as the...

We stay in a lot of guest houses and this is the best there is, the rooms are fabulous and so is everything else. We stayed for three nights and would certainly stay again. In our room was everything you would get in a first class hotel.

Having read exceptional reviews of 29 St Albans on Tripadvisor, I stayed there with my sister for one night this week. Our twin bedded room with its golden Chinese inspired wallpaper, chinoiserie furniture and Eastern decor was a sumptuous place to dream the night away. And the breakfasts......well you can tell from other reviews that the first meal of the day is a pretty impressive one and, if you opt for the full English repast, you will not need to top up on food much throughout the day. No 29 is but a short walk away high street, shops and many restaurants. A personal recommendation for dining out found us a delicious evening meal and rounded off the St Albans experience in style. No hesitation in recommending this boutique B&B and extending thanks to the owner for her friendly advice and great breakfasts.

We stayed here for 4 nights at quite short notice. The large en suite twin room was very comfortable and had all the amenities that one would expect from a good hotel.
As we had to leave early on our last day, we were given a 'picnic' of fruit, danish pastry and granola bar, with a drink. A nice touch.

This was the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, the standard of the rooms would surpass most hotels I have stayed in and the breakfast was exceptional; smoked trout and perfect scrambled eggs plus all the accompaniments from a B&B. Looking back at the price it seems like a bargain now. 100% worth a stay.
