We were lucky enough to visit these beautiful, tranquil gardens on a lovely sunny day. The number of different, well labelled rose bushes is astonishing and the place has an extremely well cared for appearance - the dead heading must be never ending but is clearly being done. A visit not to be missed for all rose lovers but also for all those looking for somewhere for a peaceful walk. Tip - the gardens share a car park with the butterfly farm - go down to the far end of the car park to be near the rose garden entrance.

open to the general public in 2013 from Saturday 8th June until Sunday 28th July From 10am to 5pm - Entrance Fee £5.00
The entrance to the Gardens is now via Noke Lane - Butterfly World Project
We had a stunning visit as the roses are exceptional this year. the sheer variety of roses is very impressive and the staff are both knowledgeable and helpful. Super tea rooms, toilets were adequate, a small number of roses on sale (although it was late in the opening season so maybe they had sod a lot?). 3 pretty water features with water lilies and dragonflies and quite a lot of butterflies (presumably from Butterfly world next door). Plenty of seating to enjoy the whole experience.
The pavilion is being refurbished and will become a beautiful location for civil ceremonies

The weather has obviously made the flowers late blooming,so the gardens werent as colourful as they should be in June.Only really worth visiting on a sunny day.felt the entrance fee was a bit high

A good opportunity to see a wide variety of roses in blooms. Sometimes fares are held here which add to the attraction of the gardens. Great place if you want to see which roses to add to your garden, or if you just fancy a walk amongst some lovely roses.
