Hidden away down a long corridor is one of the best italians you'll find in St Albans. Very nice staff, great food and a nice atmosphere. The food portions can be a bit hit and miss, for example if you order the calzone, it comes with a giant pot of bolognese sauce, so much that its easily twice as much as you'll get with an actual bolognese dish. But if you go for a filled pasta, make sure you have a starter or you'll probably leave still quite hungry.
the special offers can be equally amazing or unimpressive. On the right day with the right voucher you can get a starter, main and glass of wine for less than a tenner. But around christmas they put out their festive menu where you get any starter, main and dessert on a set list for a somewhat painful £25, but depending what you pick, a lot of the choices actually work out cheaper to just buy normally from the standard menu.
Free limoncello at the end is always nice.
