We called in for lunch on a Saturday on spec when driving through. There is a large dining room which appears an extension to the original pub. It was quite busy but there were tables available still and we had a friendly greeting from the staff. There is a quite extensive menu with some interesting fish and meat dishes including specials of the day which included swordfish and a steak and mushroom pie on the day we visited.
As we were only wanting a quick lunch we only tried a macaroni cheese and a small fish and chips. Both were perfectly good and service was prompt.
I sadly wasn't drinking as this is a Wadsworth pub and they had a good beer selection
