This is a beautiful home with amazing tapestries and armour. Lovely grounds and very reasonable prices. This is a dog friendly place and dogs are welcome inside the castle which as a dog lover I find this amazing.

What an amazing day we had at Eastnor Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The inside of the house is amazing, with fabulous furnishings and wall coverings. Dogs are allowed here, both in the grounds and during a tour of the inside of the house, which is a terrific help for people on holiday with their dogs, as it is not possible to leave dogs in a car and very unwise to do so anyway, even in cold weather.

There is a lovely cafe here, selling gorgeous cakes and light lunches. The coffee is lovely!

All in all, we loved this place, and will certainly visit when next in the area.

Thank Janet J

We loved the Mike the Knight event last weekend, in this family friendly, imposing, yet welcoming castle. Both interiors and exteriors were breath-taking. We were welcomed by The Lord himself, which was a lovely touch. We loved the kiddies lunch boxes, but the Planter's Platter and the Spinach and Fetta Pie served in the tea room were simply memorable.

Eastnor is a great place for families - and for all those living locally who have youngsters under about 12 years, get a family ticket and go often over the summer hols as a boredom breaker.

Our children loved the place as youngsters and even in mid teens will happily go for a trip round the lake and an ice cream. It's a place that spans the years with playground giving way to the maze, then to the house (great hunt for kids around Easter) and then the stroll round the beautiful lake as they start to appreciate scenery. The view of the castle from the lake is lovely.

The best but of all is that, unlike too many National Trust places, the castle is still in family occupation and therefore looks lived in; it isn't sterile. Some of the objects on display warrant a very close look - keep eyes skinned for the marble that is a naturally occurring type that looks like a cityscape. You'll know what I mean when you see it. The only other place I've seen it is in the Natural History Museum collection.

Our friends were getting married here. The whole venue was gorgeous: beautiful rooms, amazing gardens and a lovely lake. At 10 pm when the wedding couple were ready there was the most incredible 10 minute firework display over the lake - it is almost on par with the London new year's eve event to put into perspective. If you can afford it then this would be an amazing place to get married.
