“This lovely B&B made for a very pleasant stay.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2013

We stayed 3 nights this week (for the price of two which was excellent value!) as we were attending a wedding nearby and thought we would add an extra day to explore the area. Woodend Farm made an excellent base, with a comfortable room and very large bathroom. There is a pleasant lounge for the use of guests and the kitchen is available to make drinks (as well as facilities in your room), which is very useful. The breakfasts were very good and David made a great host, suggesting places we could visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were made to feel very welcome.

This is no ordinary B&B......"this is an M&S B&B" !!!!!! The owners are an extremely warm couple and provide little touches to make your stay memorable. The Dining area has 1 large table to encourage communal eating and talking ! brilliant idea.....the breakfast was exceptional and the room was first class with a superb shower ! I slept deeply as I sank into the matress.....The other wonderful thing was it is completely SILENT at night....couldn't hear a thing....which I've never experienced before.....loved it and hope to be in the area again soon.

Room Tip: doesn't matter....the whole place is perfect

We stayed in the old dairy barn for a 2 night break. Its a really Lovely place. The owners are very friendly. Great breakfast every morning and a good choice too. Nice walks nearby. Very quiet and relaxing. Would highly recommend. Nice distance to local towns to. About 10 mins drive to Ledbury.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Woodend Farm last week. The welcome was warm, and our room spotlessly clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. The B&B accommodation is in a beautifully converted barn - separate (though not distant) from the owners' house - giving freedom to come and go as we pleased without fear of disturbing them (though there were, of course, the other guests to take into consideration - something to bear in mind when returning late and somewhat giggly from a hysterically bad (in my humble opinion) theatrical performance in Malvern!).

Guests are free to prepare food for themselves in the barn kitchen in the evenings. We didn't do so (preferring to take David's advice re. a really good Indian restaurant in Ledbury on the only night we didn't eat with friends who live locally), but it's good to have that option. Teas/coffees/etc. can also be prepared there at any time, even though there are facilities (and real milk!) in the rooms. This, and the communal living room area (which I should imagine would be really cosy in winter with the log burner going) all add to the feeling of being in a 'home from home', as we didn't feel confined to our bedroom whenever we weren't out.

The breakfasts are excellent (pre-ordered the night before to avoid wastage; good idea), and cooked and served in the barn. There was plenty on offer, and it was all delicious. We enjoyed chatting to David as he did the cooking, and found him very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

We would thoroughly recommend Woodend Farm, and hope that we may be able to return with a group of friends for a walking holiday in the not-too-distant future.

Thank you, David and Sandra.

We stayed for three nights in a very clean and comfortable room in a barn conversion. The welcome was very friendly and the owners were very helpful in giving us information about the area. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling, made with local produce [the apple juice from trees on the farm]. We would certainly recommend Woodend Farm to our friends and would happily stay there again. .

We stayed here for 1 night - it's right in the countryside so lovely setting - very nice barn conversion. The accommodation was really comfortable, the owners very friendly and cooked a great breakfast.
We had a look at the Yurt before we left and that looks amazing - would love to return to stay in this.

Having decided spontaneously to go away for a well-earned mini break, I booked for my wife and I to stay at Woodend Farm having found it online. We were both delighted with the welcome from the owners and the lovely room. We were immediately treated to a cup of tea and felt very much at home straight away. Our brief stay was topped off by a delicious cooked breakfast and our hosts were most helpful when it came to organising travel to Ledbury for our evening meal. All in all, just what we were looking for and more - somewhere we would definitely consider staying again.
