If you're wanting to stay at a lovely hotel with beautiful rooms then Munstone House is the place for you and if you're happy with bad Customer Service too then it's also suitable for you. The room was lovely, but I couldn't believe how rude the staff were. Turned up with a suite booked only to be called a liar and that we hadn't booked the suite, nor was our name found anywhere on file. No apology given. The lady of the house was rude and unwelcoming and called us flat out a liar to our face. Unsuitable for people who don't look very well classed. Very stereotypical behaviour. Best turn up to this house in diamonds and posh frocks or you may get a nose turned up at you. I just was so shocked that the lady hadn't put our suite through, nor stored our information and didn't even have the courtesy to apologise. I think she was the liar and didn't want us staying at her hotel once she was us. Awful Customer Service. Should be ashamed.

My wife and I just got married in munstone house, I have read some of these reviews and I cannot believe what has been written. We had the best day of our lives! The venue was breath taking, the quality of food was sensational, the staff were very professional and the featured rooms were out of this world. All in all I would recommend this venue for weddings any day, my guests that came are still commenting on what a nice venue we had chosen. It is tuly hard to believe what has been written in the past about this place as our experience was memorable. Please do not be let down by the previous comment as if these were true there has been a huge change at Munstone house. Our marriage there was on the 1st December 2012 if anyon has any questions I will be happy to help my email is marcdel-valle07@hotmail.com

Give them a chance and you won't be let down.

Visited as a wedding guest at an after wedding party and was rather disappointed. The frontage of the "hotel" lends you to expect far more than it delivers.

Once we found our way to the front of the hotel from the car park, over a lawn, along a stepped, dark, unlit path and in high heels, there was no indication of where the entrance was. We entered "reception" which was cluttered with tables and chairs and looked like a storage area.

There was no-one around so we headed towards the noise and found the bar in the function room at the back.

The function room is large and it was sweltering! I asked if the fire exit could be opened and was told by an equally hot looking bar tender that they were not allowed to open it, but I was. there is obviously a "keep the room hot" policy in place in order to make you drink more!

When the food came out we were rather disappointed - it looked like Mum had gone to Iceland! All fried food, value pizza, crisps and cheap muck served on equally vile looking polystyrene plates. There wasn't a fork to eat with and all the food was presented without any serving spoons so everyone used their fingers to serve themselves - I found the whole experience horrible.

The staff seemed nice but not terribly well motivated and it was little wonder when the scruffy and miserable looking owner was their inspiration.

If I go to another wedding here, I will arrive late having eaten first...
