“Excellent Sunday roast”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Great pub between the shops and cathedral. Stopped for Sunday roast.. 5* beef melted in my mouth, plenty of fresh veg, I just wish I had room for pudding.
Advantaged you can see the kitchen which was clean and well organised. Highly recommended.

“Recent lunch 27th September”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

I recently took my Mother for lunch in the Lichfield Vaults and was very pleasantly surprised, the Landlord was very pleasant and friendly to everyone who came in, the surroundings are very comfortable, and the wood paneling and many original features give it a very cosy atmosphere, the greek menu was good and very tasty but overpriced for what tasted like oven chips(and a little more chicken in the chicken kebab would have made it better) but all in all would definately go again. the relaxing music made a world of difference lovely venue for a lunch and chat.

“Great food in a proper pub”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Attended 26/09/12 having not been in there for a few years. The food in the past was good but the Greek inspired range now on offer is excellent. Proper pub with relaxing not banging music. I would have liked rice instead of chips but I feel if you asked the staff they would have obliged. Good range of beers and very nice wine selection. Will be back. The staff are knowledgable of the product they are selling and very welcoming.

“An unexpected delight”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Great Greek Cypriot food in this comfortable, cosy pub in Hereford's characterful Church Lane.. Nice and simple, tasty and fresh. Possibly a little overpriced, but very good quality, nice interior (wood panelling), and very friendly staff.

I had the Mini meze (Greek meatballs, hummous, tzatziki, giantes (baked butter beans), dolma, feta, salad, olives & pitta) £11.95, plus deep-fried halloumi £3.95; together with a pint of Deuchars IPA. All great.

I am so pleased that I found this place and bothered to ask about the availability of food. The guides suggest that they only do food at lunchtime - not true. I wasn't expecting such a nice and different meal tonight as I had resigned myself to pizza, given the apparent lack of other suitable options in Hereford mid-week (almost everywhere else was empty/dead).

There is an extensive courtyard out the back, which extends further than is first apparent, which would make this a great place to sit outside on a sunny afternoon.

“Long wait for average food”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

The pub wasn't busy for a Saturday lunch time when we wnt, however it still took a long time for our meal to be served. It was another ten minutes for anyone to bring some cutlery while our food got cold. We ate off the Greek menu, but the chicken and the hummuswas dry and the salad was limp. Shame as we had heard good things about this place.
