Although it was quite interesting, i thought it a bit pricey for what it was. Glad i did go though. but wouldn't pay again.

Worth seeing as they are beautiful, but access to the Mappa Mundi and chained library should be free in my opinion.

John Paul Getty ensured that this ancient map has now been saved for the nation by providing the housing for the Mappa Mundi. I used to remember visiting Hereford Cathedral when it was just housed in an ordinary display cabinet. Thank goodness the people at Hereford Cathedral know what they have and worked hard to ensure the safety for future generations. If you haven't seen the map or the chained library then you really must do so. It shows what 12th century academicsand scribes thought the world looked like and what roamed the earth at that time.

Our first visit was before the chain library was moved to it's current surroundings. Whenever we have visitors we take them there. Mappa Mundi is amazing and whenever I visit I see more detail in it
