We ate at Planet Buffet at around 7pm on a weeknight.
There were very few others there and the music (which was absolutely awful) was far too loud. There was peeling wallpaper on the ceiling and it was chilly none of which made for a particularly nice atmosphere.
Having said that we kind of had a giggle about it and resigned ourselves with a nod to the old adage you get what you pay for.
On the plus side, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and there were lots of dishes to choose from. The food was okay, bulk standard Chinese fayre really. We were also pleasantly surprised that the prices of the drinks were very reasonable.
The trouble started early the following morning. My partner vomited and we both had very nasty bottoms! It could be a coincidence but I'm not convinced.
I don't think we'll risk it again.
