Stayed here for one night, room was clean and tidy and what we expected. Only gripe is the shower leaked and sprayed water all over the floor and we couldn't work out how to use the complimentary shower and hand gel dispensers. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Opposite are services for food drink and magaines/newspapers so is well provided for breakfast.
Be warned if trying to book a taxi from here. Because of the location of the hotel we were quoted between 50-60 quid to get to a party 15 miles away.

Originally this review was going to be titled adequate and have 3 stars.
The room aon first inspection seemed clean if a bit tatty.
The bathroom smelt mouldy and had a large area of rust on the edge of the bath.
The beds were reasonably comfortable and we all got a good sleep.
However when we woke up I found an earring -presumably from a previous guest - in our bed!
We had asked for an iron the previous night. None were available at the time but we were promised that when one was returned we would be given it. I checked outside our room in the morning to see if it was there.
No iron but 4 small brown cardboard boxes. Apparently as part of the room price we had paid for “Continental Breakfast”. Each box contained: a pot of Kellogg’s Cornflakes; a carton of UHT milk; a long-life muffin; a carton of Orange Juice; a plastic teaspoon. Never have I felt more depressed eating a Hotel Breakfast!! Most of it was inedible particularly the muffin. I managed to drink the orange Juice.
Will never stay at a Days Inn again!

Stayed at this hotel as part of a deal with Peppa pig land.
Everything you needed for one night, plenty of hot water and clean comfortable bed.
Breakfast was delivered to your door which was reasonable, again ok for what we paid.
Agree with other reviews that the rooms and corridors could do with a revamp.
Carpets in the bedroom and the actual bathroom had seen better days. The carpet was heavily stained.
Staff friendly and helpful.

The room is decent and right at its doorstep, you have outlets selling food, drinks, reading material, groceries and sundry items, as well as a petrol station.
But this motel is best for those driving northwards, we found this out only after checking in. That's because the place is located on the southward side of the M3 between Winchester and Basingstoke, and if you are returning from Winchester in the south, there is no other way but to drive an extra eight miles northwards and then another eight miles back to get to the other side of the M3.
Other than that drawback, we enjoyed our stay!
