Stayed at the dell twice now and both times have been warm and relaxing. Cosy room but spacious. The landlady pf the dell is always happy to help, and cooks fantastic breakfasts that fill you up for the rest of day. Look forward to staying with them again next year.

Room Tip: The garden room, own patio and ground floor useful for warmer weather.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and the room was amazing, we stayed in the Garden room which was really spacious and done up to a high standard. Also the dining area was really cosy with a fire place. Definitely worth a visit. Higher recommended

If you are looking for first class accommodation in the Winchester area you couldn't do better than stay at The Dell Bed & Breakfast. We went to the area for a wedding weekend and our fellow guests stayed in several rather vanilla-flavour hotels. We had the pleasure of privacy and luxury. We occupied both rooms, which were up to or above hotel standard, being newly decorated and furnished with en suite bathrooms, all in the best of taste. There are loads of power points, lights, mirrors, sofa, writing table, hanging space - all you need. Comfortable beds. There is ample parking just near the rooms. . Breakfasts were generous in a dining room just adjacent to the bedrooms. I must mention the very nice welcome and hospitality from the proprietors. The building is a Grade II listed cottage, and has a terrific garden plus woodland grounds of a couple of acres, so when we had a couple of hours to kill we were able to wander round the garden and grounds. This place is well up to the standard of the kind of top-grade B&B you find in the USA.

Room Tip: There are only two guest rooms. Both very good. The garden room is on the ground floor, the cottage...

As a family with 2 large kids, renting both the newer Garden and more historic Cottage rooms was the perfect solution. The Dell is a lovely place to return to after experiencing England's so called summer this year. Be warned that you will hit your head on something during your stay but accept it as the price for staying in this home full of character. Breakfasts are huge and Liz was always happy to be flexible on the composition and timing of the hot food.
Our only suggestions would be: to improve the visibility of signs outside as this is a fast road and it is easy to miss the entrance the first time; and to widen the coverage of the internet.

We had such a lovely stay at the O'Connor family in The Dell. We stayed in the Garden room, which was perfectly styled and looked brand new, and had a beautiful bathroom. Elizabeth serves a lovely breakfast and really makes you feel at home. From the room you can walk into the garden, which used to be a chalk pit and is now a stunning garden. It was great to stay in an old house like that and we immediately decided to stay another night. From there it was also easy to visit Jane Austen's house in Chawton, and Winchester. Love to go there again!
