My husband booked us for a one night stay for our anniversary. We have been to Lainston house on several occasions before for our daughters baptism high tea party, as well as friends wedding, however we have never stayed overnight before. Upon arrival we asked if it ws possible for us to stay in on of the old rooms in the house and the lady at the desk made that happen! Very helpful! The staff were on the whole very friendly and helpful. Our room "Camelia" was avery spacious suite which was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was luxury itself. We had lovely walk on the grounds, followed by dinner in the dining room. As a vegetarian I found it impossible to choose anything from the main menu, as we were not going to try the taster menu this time, so I opted for a fish dish, which was wonderful. Dessert was amazing, it was called a cheescake and came with mini macaroons- divine! Our waiter had excellent wine knowledge and helped us with choosing the wine. In the morning we went down for breakfast, and it was excellent, especially the home-made yoghurts.
We defenitely reccommend Lainston House Hotel for a stay, high teas and weddings, and would love to return.More
