“Fab atmosphere, great food, beautiful house”
Reviewed February 10, 2012

Lovely experience, my client had a great time and said it was one of the best meetings she had ever had. The food was delicious and the service good, helpful but unintrusive. I plan to go back more more friends as it was so good.

“A wonderful place to eat on that special occasion”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

We have eaten here lots of times and consider it our special treat. We have always enjoyed first class service and wonderful food.
Expect to pay around £50 per head for an evening meal but well worth it

I was at the hotel for a wedding reception. The open fires were gave the place a lovely country feel. The food at the wedding was top class.

“Elegant dining in a country setting from a bygone era”
Reviewed October 26, 2011

The Avenue Restaurant is located at the Lainston House Hotel in Sparsholt, near Winchester. The menu has a limited number of choices but the two my wife and I selected were delicious. The style is continental with a tasty mixing of flavors. The service was like a ballet with graceful movement and delivery. The setting is elegant and we recommend starting and ending your meal in the Cedar Bar in an adjoining room. The wine list is quite large and prices tend to be higher for comparable wines at other venues. Prices are expensive but the Avenue is not an everyday place and suitable for special occasions.
