The restaurant is pleasantly warm in mid-winter, with a welcoming staff and a good view of the kitchen and its sparkling pots and pans. There was no problem in the waiter accepting special orders, such as a marguerita pizza with extra Italian spicy sausage on top. I choose tempura prawns with a chilli dip as a starter. The prawns were somewhat thin and the batter a bit heavy for tempura, but it was pleasant enough. For a main course three of our four selected veal in marsala sauce. I chose french fries and salad as an accompaniment. The chips were hot and the salad fresh. The meat and sauce were absolutely fine. If I had to find a downside, perhaps the price of £18.95 was a bit heavy (over £20 for one dish, once you add for the service). Anyway, the four of us had a good evening at Puccini's. I note that they have withdrawn some of their previous special offers (such as a free cappucino if you order main course and sweet, and two-for-one mains on Monday-Wednesday.)
