“2 night stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

Just enjoyed 2 nights in a cosy double room , small bathroom but clean and adequate. Nice to have plenty of refreshment provided in room. Bed was comfortable, good sleep.Enjoyed friendly breakfast with more choice than expected. There is parking but limited space , plenty of street space OK overnight. Will use again.

We stayed here for two nights in a small room on the second floor. We feeled a sort of 'locked up' as we came 'home'.There was no parking space in front of the house so we had to park several yards away.
The first morning only one of us used breakfast. The second morning we wanted to be helpful and leave as quick as possible. When we came downstairs, we saw there was a free parkingspace in front of the house. We hurried to park the car there before breakfast, because we had to load it afterwards. Therefore we were 5 minutes late for breakfast and the lady in charge of it didn't let us in. We discussed but we had to leave without any meal.
These hosts work in a Bed and Breakfast as in a shop (their own words). As long as they get the money, people's needs don't matter.

We were staying in a twin room for one night, fortunately not more than that. The location was a bit far from the city centre. The overall look of the place was cozy, but the room was very small and the bathroom a pure nightmare. I can't understand how there can be those unpractical cold and hot water tabs still in the 21st century! When I tried to wash the make-up from my face it was almost impossible. When I went to shower I couldn't stop laughing because the odd system with the loud box on the wall with buttons to press was hysterically funny. Unfortunately the water pressure was very weak and the whole showering experience was unpleasant. And the light in the bathroom kept going off, and it took me a while to figure out I had to wave my hand to get it back on.

Breakfast was served too early to my taste and only for one hour, from 8 to 9. The small breakfast room was soon packed because everyone had to come and eat at the same time. The selection was quite poor, and we didn't ever see the hot porridge in the buffet as promised in the menu. Service could have been a bit friendlier with some smiling. Suddenly one of the owners' dogs sneaked in the breakfast room and started sniffing some of the guests' plates. Not everyone was happy about this.

Stayed here for 3 nightspots month had a family room on the top floor , breakfast was lazy and average , frozen orange juice etc . Owners seem to have very high opinion of themselves. Room was to small, with awkward low ceilings, the bed was on a slope with a cheap mattress to top it off. With three occupants in the room there was not enough sockets. Dusty in many places and wifi did not work on top floor and terrible parking facilities, far to expensive for what was on offer for the area it is situated in. Also they charged my c/card without asking or contacting me therefore I'd be very wary of booking this b&b

Just an over-night stay, but very impressed. Our room was very clean, nicely furnished and had an electric heater - which we needed, in June!! The bathroom was OK - again spotless, functional but small and dark. Plumbing was very musical. However, the bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The area is residential, but quite close to the town centre - only 15 min by foot.
Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked to order. Congratulations on a very friendly atmosphere in the breakfast room.
Only 1 criticism - parking is limited; you may have to park on the street, where limited waiting comes into force at 8 am. So, if you're planning a longer stay or want to leave your car for a long period, it's essential to check with the owners beforehand. Otherwise, great value, friendly atmoshere, spotlessly clean.
