Stayed whilst working nights in Southampton. Very good rooms, slept well and was not bothered by noise from within the hotel or, amazingly, from the airport. Staff very helpful, and the restaurant very nice. Would definately stay again.

We stayed at this hotel on Friday 30/09/2011 until Sunday 02/10/2011, three adults and a 3 1/2 yr old child. Hotel was easy to find, and we received a warm friendly welcome from the reception staff. We entered the room which was very cool as air conditioning had been on which was nice as we had been experiencing a mini heatwave. The room was spacious and clean, but down the side of our bed on the floor was our daughter's bed (mattress in a box) which was very low compared to our bed we were not happy at first but our daughter was fine with it and she slept soundly both nights! The bathroom seemed new and was clean with lots of towels provided
Now the but .. The food in the restaurant was not very good, we ordered burgers but they were dry, and the restaurant staff were not friendly. The food was expensive and hence we didnt eat there on the second night. For breakfast there was a good choice of cooked food and continental. The restaurant is far too small for all the guests having breakfast we had to eat in the bar, and there is a big queue waiting to be seated.Tables were not being cleared, the hot water machine broke down and the coffee machine was not working, very unorganised and chaotic!
Overall the hotel was pleasant and considering it was next to an airport it was extremely quiet.
We used this hotel as a stop over to visit Peppa Pig World which was fantastic!!

Excellent comfortable and surprisingly quiet stopover near the Motorway on the way to an early morning Portsmouth Ferry. You don't have to be flying to use the Southampton Airport Premier Inn. It does confuse 'em a bit when you ask for only one night's car parking though!

Room Tip: Car park tip - you can park to left or right of the entrance - right might have more spaces.

Stayed here for 1 night earlier this month en route to France from the airport.
Upon pulling into the carpark I was a bit put off by the outside appearance, colour of walls were a bit off putting....well to me anyway.
All of these feelings were brushed aside when I entered my room, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, bathroom spotless as were the ample quantity of towels. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
In the bar area I ordered lunch which was good together with the beer,I also ate my evening meal there and it was excellent.

I stayed here for one night after for a business trip the follow morning. The entire hotel appeared to lack doors that were capable of closing quietly. This included not only internal hotel room doors but more frustratingly hallway and staircase doors. Very noisy, particularly very early in the morning.

The air condition unit had one setting. 'Service' or 'maintenance' I believe it was, and it did nothing more than blow hot air. Not particularly useful on a warm night like it was. Thankfully the windows did open, however with this hotel being located at an airport, it was understandably noisy. The sound proofing when the windows were closed was sufficient however.

One of the bathroom towels had a large yellow stain on it. Thankfully the additional towels were clean. There really is no excuse for this to have been missed however.

Tea and coffee was available, none of which were de-decaffeinated which I found disappointing.

On checkout I waited at reception for several minutes with nobody apparently attending the desk so I wasn't about to waste any more time here.

There was ample parking for guests and this hotel is only a 10min walk from the main airport terminal.

In the future I will consider other hotels in the area as the cost of this hotel averaged that of other premier Inns that were of a higher standard and quality.

Room Tip: Avoid Rooms near main staircase or elevator areas.

This hotel is quite literally about 400 yards from Southampton Airport and takes about 10 minutes at a gentle walking pace. Although slightly formulaic, the service was warm and welcoming, the room was spacious, spotlessly clean, lovely firm beds with good linen sheets and provided just what we needed by way of a good night's sleep before our flight next day.
Food is OK, but nothing special, but the breakfast was excellent and provides a good choice between continental and full English
