I didn't even realise that Rasraj had changed to Nimbu when I booked! The restaurant is now under new management. The restaurant has been redecorated and this is a great improvement - it is now light and airy. The menu is very similar to the previous Rasraj menu but now includes all the common favourites - the menu was always very different compared to other Indian restaurants.

Poppadoms were served with delicious chutneys and the starters came with a fresh salad. The mains were just the right size and came with the right amount of rice and a nice big naan bread! All of the food was well cooked and presented and tasted great.

The service was friendly and efficient and the bill represented great value for money.

I've been going to this restaurant for several years now and it has been called various things but Nimbu seems to be the best version yet.

The restaurant is located at the quiet end of Oxford Street in what has been a bank fo some of its history. The restaurant which covers 2 floors, has a lovely high ceiling on the ground floor and it feels very light and airy with the tables not being crammed together.

The menu is quite different from the average Indian restaurant and includes Water Buffalo, Venison and a chicken dish with chocolate, chilli & tamarind.

We tried the Lamb Rogan and the Keralan Monkfish with a side dish of seasonal vegetables with coconut, curry leaves & mustard seeds as well as a Pulao rice. All of the food was delicious and wonderfully cooked and I cant wait to go back & try the Water Buffalo!

The service was efficient without being overbearing and all of the staff were very friendly.

A great meal and I cant wait to return.
