It's not often that i write reviews but this hotel really deserves one!

My Husband, 3 month old Son and myself stayed at The Pig In The Wall for one night on 4th April 2013 for my Husbands birthday. We were unsure whether we would be welcome with such a young baby in a small hotel but from the first telephone call to the hotel to make our booking the wonderful staff couldn't do enough to help us.

On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a lovely lady, i think her name was Manon (apologies if that is spelt incorrectly). She checked us in, showed us to our room and ran through everything that we may need to know to make our stay comfortable. She was friendly, polite and knowledgable.

The room - one word - WOW! We stayed in one of the larger rooms as we needed space for the travel cot. The room had a huge bed which was one of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in, there was a stand alone bath in the room, a large TV, a larder stocked with yummy treats, an amazing shower and some lovely luxury bath products to enjoy. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean and had some really special finishing touches. I really couldn't fault it all.

On the evening we went to The Pig at Brockenhurst for an early dinner. We had a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting and watched the sun set while we ate, priceless. We took advantage of the Land Rover shuttle to The Pig which was excellent, our driver Paul was such a nice man - courteous, polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, it was really different & interesting - home made granola, egg and soldiers, coffee, juice - all fresh and delicious. Again Manon greeted us in the morning with a smile, just lovely!

Everybody should visit this gem of a hotel, Thank you Pig In The Wall, we'll be back!

Found a great dinner, stay and breakfast deal. Room was amazing, fantastic shower, friendly staff, lovely food, great decor. What more could you want? Looking forward to staying at The Pig on the Beach when it opens later this year.

We had lunch in the Deli and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was very good and the food, although simple, was tasty (I had the meat platter and my other half had the sausage roll). The staff were very efficient and the atmosphere was relaxed. If I had one minor negative then it would be the price but then for the quality and the experience it’s probably worth it. Definitely thinking of a return visit to try something else.

Had lunch at The Pig in the Wall Deli, there's a lovely, shabby chic feel about it and the food is locally produced and absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and it really feels a bit like someone's cosy sitting room. Will definitely be visiting regularly from now on.

What a fantastic hotel! Did not expect it to be so good. I ate from the deli menu one night and it was superb, as was the breakfast. The room was quite beautiful, very tasteful and stylish and the staff could not help enough. Would recommend to anyone staying in Southampton.
