I visited the Farmers Home on four separate occasions within a 6 week period. I visited with friends, family and my boyfriend for lunch and dinner. I have tried the pate, tempura shrimps, ham salad, and poached salmon. I will be returning to sample more of the menu. It’s a lovely country pub with reasonably priced food and a big beautiful garden which is always full in the summer.

What a joy it is to have lunch or dinner at this delightful country pub. The food is exceptional and they have a very varied and interesting menu for both Dinner and lunch. The Staff at this establishment are second to none and appear to enjoy working there and are extremely friendly and courtious to the customers . The feeling that the premises generates is one of a local pub without being clique and you are made to feel welcome by staff and customers alike I would award this pub 5 stars

Met with some friends and we all needed to eat - after much debating I chose the chicken salad, the salad was plentiful, especially the chicken, and a serving of new potatoes (a meal in its self). The rest of the party chose from scampi and chips, jacket pototoes and a sandwich all of which they were more than happy with their choices. The table service was very good and very prompt. Considering it was a weekday it was very busy!

We ate here for a family birthday celebration, and being a group of 11 (plus a baby!) they catered for us very well. The service was good, food arrived promptly, and prices reasonable, too. Only minor comment would be to make the specials board more prominent and easier to view!

Visited this pub with friends very recently. Lovely little pub with plenty of room to sit down and eat. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, and although it was busy, you were never kept waiting for very long to be served drinks or food. We ordered sandwiches and these were served with a lovely helping of side salad. Plenty of filling in the sandwiches and you had a choice of white or brown bread. Although we didn't order any hot food, from what I saw from others orders there was plenty of it for the money. Would definitely recommend a visit and look forward to going back soon.
