We visited this pub for lunch recently. From the outside, it looks ordinary, but we were pleasantly surprised by the internal charm and style. Unfortunately, although there was a log fire, this was not lit in spite of it being very cold outside. This would, of course, have given visitors a warmer welcome. We thought that the menu looked diverse and of good value, so looked forward to our lunch. Sadly, the standard of the food was bad and minimal. Over microwaved, soggy lettuce and either overlooked or undercooked. The cuisine certainly won't be making its way to master chef!!! This was very disappointing as the place oozes potential.
