Having visited this establishment a number off times I thought I would write a review.I often pop in after a round of golf for a breakfast, you can upsize the size of your meal no end but what you get in the end is a English breakfast for £5.99.They give you two rashers of generally anemic bacon and one over cooked sausage, then its a free for all to see who can crowd as much hash browns, scrambled eggs, beans and tomatoes on their plates.

The food may not be the best but its ok, the coffee they serve is beyond the pale, dreadful,

Now the carvery, yes it can be busy, yes the vegs can be a bit on the overcooked side but generally the meat, potatoes and Yorkshire are good and a nice, not outstanding meal.

The furniture needs a complete overhaul as could the pub,the outside is a disgrace with pint pots left unattended and ashtrays overflowing, and I am a smoker,

Well it's cheap!
But no atmosphere, feels a bit like a working mens club or a Cafe not a pub.
The food is OK'ish but you have to queue for ages standing in the restaraunt to get you carvery meats slapped on your plate and over cooked veg. Staff couldn't be bothered. The reasons for the price, get as many covers through the door and yep it felt like it,

Don't expect haut cuisine but be amased by the quality and quantity of the food. My favourite is the gammon and roast potatoes.

Attended this very busy carvery with the family (5persons) when we could not be bothered to cook
Unfortunately it appealed to the quantity not quality customer, and ticks the British attitude to food box, which is a bit like taking on fuel , rather than an occasion to enjoy good food.
The table that we sat at was cramped and the seating was in need of repair.
The actual inside of the pub/restaurant was pretty standard .
The bar offered all of the normal beers, ciders and lagers and a guest real ale that was very palatable.

All of the staff were keen to help, were polite and friendly.

The food looked better than it tasted , the beef was a 'tough' option , the steak and ale pie was like a thick gravy sandwich< and was a disappointing choice
The vegetables varied, peas were ok, swede fine, carrots and cabbage were struggling, potatoes (roast and mashed) survived the long haul .

The good value for money can not be denied, but as a culinary experience , its best forgotten

“Good value for money”

Great for a midweek roast, but if its school holidays get there early. They have been known to run out!

However if you are early enough the food is good and plenty of it.
