“Where have all the ducks gone!”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

Always happy to take a walk here with the family, but I can't help but notice there are very few ducks / geese / swans on the water. Plenty of benches, play areas for kids, pitch n put course, outdoor centre and ice cream vans on sunny days. Lots of free parking too.

“A Walk for a Sunny day...”
Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

Riverside Park and the adjoining Woodmill riverside walk are beautiful spots for a walk for an hour or so. On a warm sunny day in the summer these parks are surprisingly busy, but thats jot a problem as it is a spacious park. In the winter its worth a visit on a early cold frosty morning as the river looks stunning with the low mist and steam, especially if you cross the road on the Woodmill end of the park and cross the road to follow the river on past the Pitch and Putting greens. It is a popular park for runners, cyclist and dog walkers. Ideal for all, there are footpaths, cycle paths, open spaces for messing around or lazing around in the sun, also there are 2 childrens play areas, one of the, recently refurbished to a great modern standard. So if you have 2 hours to spare enjoy a good walk.

“Great place for walks”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

We go for walks here every summer and enjoy it every time we go. you can even see the fish swimming in the water it is so clear. Great little park and small golf course which is great fun. You also see many people fishing. The only bad thing I can say is be carful when you take little ones, as there is not a guard by the water, but what I would add the children love feeding the ducks. There is a lovely pub you can have a meal and a good car park at each end of Riverside Park, so plenty of places to park (no charge as yet). A must place to visit without it costing you loads of money.

“Almost the country within the city”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Southampton is famous for having retained it's "in city" green areas and Riverside Park is one of those where walkers, cyclists, kids, families and sportsmen can mingle without tripping each other up.

“Nice walk by the river, plenty for families to do, or just a chill zone, your choice”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

plenty of space for dog walkers,, family areas and children's play area have been revamped over the last few weeks. Shame about the graffiti that seems to be springing in various areas.
