Love to watch the cruise ships arrive and depart. Great vantage point to watch container ships go by. Open playing field. Close to Isle of Wight ferry terminal. Good restaurants close by. A good rendezvous point.

a lovely little park to stretch your legs, good playground sea themed for younger children, mine like it age 6/4. Good icecreams and snacks next to it and very helpful and friendly there. My kids love to race to the top of the hill by the trees and roll down again sometimes. Great spot to see the ships going out. We watched the QM2 from there. Also seats by front to sit on whilst you eat you icecream. Parking reasonable there too for about 2 hours. (cannot remember off top of head but know not bad)

The day we wanted to visit Mayflower Park the space had been taken over by the boat show construction crews preparing for an upcoming boat show. The area looked nice if only we could have seen it without all the tents and vendor booth building going on.

Great spot to view the cruise ships leaving, gets very busy too! Aim to go for around 16:00 and your guaranteed to see one sail by. Remember their horns are loud!!

This park is at Town Quay and has many events throughout the year and the biggest of which is the PSP Boat Show which happens each September and is a huge attraction for the city of Southampton. It is an ideal viewing place to see the enormous ships and liners which are in port most days.
