My boyfriend surprised me with a 1 night spa break at The Grand Harbour. On our arrival, we headed straight for the spa where we both had hot stone massages - v relaxing. The staff were v professional and the spa area was clean with a modern décor.
After a quick trip to the shops, we came back and ventured down to the leisure club for a quick swim and Jacuzzi session - unfortunately this is where they fell short. The female changing rooms were dirty, with blood stained cotton wool on the floor, wet tissues in the sink and wet hair all over the floor. it looked as if no one had checked on it all day or cleaned it. The pool area wasn't much better either and the amount of young children splashing away in the pool was the final straw for me so after just 15 minutes, I got changed and went back to our room.
The room was lovely - very spacious with a traditional décor. The room was clean and the bathroom was of a decent size.
Dinner in the main restaurant was fantastic! Service was professional and at a nice pace. The food was gorgeous and wine was very drinkable!
All in all a lovely night away, but the leisure club could do with employing a cleaner or two!More
