Have now lost count of the number of escape rooms I've done but this is one of the better ones for sure!
Very atmospheric and lots of thought put into all the clues!
Highly recommend this to beginners and avid escapists!
The staff were very friendly and we even get 10% off in Nousha, a cafe just down the road!

Loved this new escape room in Southampton. Having done a few escape rooms now we wondered what the "immersive" experience would be like. We weren't disappointed. Lots of puzzles, a story and a theme we hadn't experienced before. The owner is a lovely guy that's got lots of exciting ideas planned. You definitely won't be disappointed.

Played the Mayan room with a group of 5 and had an excellent escape room experience. The quantity and challenge of the puzzles was just right so that we never got stuck on any one puzzle for too long, and so the experience just flew by. I would also say there is a good mix of the types of puzzles on offer, but won't go into any more details for fear of spoilers! The theming really adds to the immersion and the hosts did an excellent job of keeping that up whilst also offering a few guiding hints (with some funny comments along the way too)! All together a very well thought through escape room with good production values and attention to detail!

Ok, so I need to confess that I like board games, and used to quite like the crystal maze, but I have never done an escape room before and really wasn't sure what to expect. I had an awesome time!! :) :) In this review I plan to share my experience and think about the accessibility of this venue.

Who would be able to play this game?
I would encourage this for families of older children (not suitable for babies, toddlers, preschoolers), friends, couples (needs to be a minimum of two people for this room, and I feel that three or four would be a really good number for this room. It could accommodate five or six though.

Is the venue accessible?
The game is booked and you will be met at the entrance by your host. I really liked this personal touch. The room is on the first floor and there is a handrail to assist. Once in there are no further changes of level and the game itself does not demand a high level of personal fitness (though there is a need to move around, pick things up and so on, they are all lightweight and there is no physically demanding elements – its not a crystal maze escape over trapeze wires and such like!

The entranceway is very atmospheric, setting one up for the beginning of the transition from our world to the ‘mayan world’, which was a lot of fun. The host however would assist if additional lighting were required for anyone with visual limitations (I find transition from light to dark quickly difficult so benefitted from this). I had no difficulty once in game though.

The audio information at the beginning is backed up with visual information and in game there is support both from visual information and audio information. Within the hour you have to beat the room, there is support available if needed interactively so it is not possible to falter, get overwhelmed and lose altogether kinda by default (yes that was one of my fears).

What is the game like?
Well now, I couldn’t possibly give you the answers here, but suffice to say it is a truly interactive game which everything within the room could be relevant for. Its totally immersive, and a lot of fun, encourages (indeed, requires) a team approach and is rather addictive! To win, you will need to talk to each other, probably think laterally, logically but also follow the creativity of the story line. The clock will count down, the pressure does feel like it increases and it is a fabulous buzz to work through the challenge together. Was a fabulous experience, really looking forward to returning for the next room!

Whilst the game is one hour, allow a little more time for the introduction and also to talk about it after – we left absolutely thrilled and had a great time chatting about the challenges and successes afterwards.

Remember that the Mayan god is always there… so if you were to feel lost or confuzzled for some reason, then verbalise this as a team. IF as a team you aren’t able to see your way through, its quite possible that the god will, just possibly, make a comment which may even be helpful!

Most of all enjoy and have fun :) There has been a lot of thought go into this game room and the quality of the time there is substantially improved because of it. Hurrah for the tenacity and determination of the game designer to create this world for our enjoyment. :)

We were a team of 5 to do the Mayan room and we had a lot of fun.

The puzzles are really imaginative and force you to communicate with your team and alternate different type of logic and interactions (never have the impression to do twice the same thing).

I can recommend this escape room to novice, the hosts give you some hints, without giving you the impression they solved the problem for you.
For a more experienced public, the puzzles are innovative and the immersion is a real plus.
Great time there, and the hosts are nice and make everything to provide you a nice experience.
