“Great to have some good chinese vegetarian dishes!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

We had a really nice lunch at Noble House. It's good value for money, the food is very nice and the portions are quite generous. What's best is that vegetarians can enjoy the food just the same as the meat eaters, which is quite rare in UK Chinese restaurants.

From the set lunch menu, I had very crisp and light vegetarian spring rolls, served with fresh parsley and lettuce, followed by mock abalone with green peppers and black bean sauce. My meat-eating family demolished their own dishes, then happily tucked into mine.

Service was attentive, and the interior very pleasant.

“Still really good”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Back again and the food, the atmosphere and the staff still make it worth a visit - in fact the consistency really is worth going back for - may not be perfect but always high standard.

“food fit for a king”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

in a street full of cafes, restaurants and take-aways, you've got to be good to stand out. For me, The Noble House Chinese restaurant hits the spot every time. The warmth of the welcome - always genuine - the spotless, starched, thick white table linen and napkins and the understated Oriental ambience promise much. But it's the quality of the food that really delivers. Where to start? The Mongolian lamb perhaps? that is simply scrumptous and mouth-wateringly tasty and crispy sticky beef with ginger are two of my favourites. Whether it's a wet Wednesday in November or a sultry Saturday in July this family run business will treat you as royalty and a winter bonus is a loyalty coupon for a free bottle of wine to use on a return visit. This is my restaurant of choice in the whole of Southsea and one that family and friends find irresistible too

“A Welcome find”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

Whilst visiting our son in Southsea, we went looking for somewhere to eat on a cold sunday evening. We strolled up and down Osborne road and this establishment was the busiest by far and for good reason. The food was delicious and the service was good too despite it being fairly busy. There was a contingent of local orientals dining there as well which usually qualifies the quality of the food. We had the Cantonese Feast set menu which had plenty of choice and enough in terms of quantity as well. Seaweed, Prawn toast (not overcooked like many restaurants), Crispy Wun Tun's, Spare Ribs (Delicious) and spring rolls to start. Followed by Crispy Duck (our Favourite), Sizzling Beef & the chefs King Prawn dish. I think I've missed one but it was all very good. The Manager/owner? was very polite and ensured we had an enjoyable evening. Prices were reasonable, about £70.00 inc drinks and service for 3 adults. Recommended.
