I find it hard to fault Rosie's having visited on various occasions with family. Always delicious food, the beef Wellington is one of the best I have tasted, and a plentiful menu, executed superbly. The service is slightly inconsistent and does tend to slow towards the end of the meal, but staff are perfectly polite. They have a great wine list too, with various offerings and suggested pairings. The restaurant itself is actually quite large itself, with three floors and plenty of seating, and fortunately they space the tables well. A great restaurant and well worth a visit.

Just returned from Rosie's. The food was really tasty and good quality but unfortunately was barely luke warm. Considering there seemed to be only one other couple being served food at the same time as us this seemed inexcusable. We did mention this issue and the waitress was very concerned and offered to return the dishes to the kitchen but by that time we didn't want to have our evening interrupted any more. We had already been moved due to the arrival of a huge party of people attending a function at Rosie's, who as they arrived planted themselves completely in the way of seated and arriving diners. This was not the fault of the restaurant and the poor manager was doing her best to move them on. We were impressed that she immediately saw we were sat amongst a crowd of standing chatting people and moved us to a more secluded table. When our bill arrived the cost of our wine had been deducted from the total so many thanks for the excellent customer service but we cannot deny that we were a little disappointed with the overall experience. However we will return!

Went to Rosie's last Saturday and had not been there for years. We were a bit concerned about the service having read the reviews on TA.
We needn't have worried about this at all. From the girl behind the bar to the waiting staff all were efficient and friendly.
We shared a baked cheees which was really very good and both had beef wellington which was cooked very well with the right amount of veg etc.
We had ice-cream with liqueur over the top instead of dessert. The ice-cream was unfortunately of no more then average quality and taste.
Worst thing was the table. In effect this restaurant is on 3 levels. Table 14 is on the middle level next to the only set of stairs so we had customer and waitress traffic all night. You also get a cold draft from downstairs coming up. Footfall was so heavy my partner was bouncing around on this chair! We did mention the positioning of the table to the manageress (she deducted our average ice-cream with liqueur from the bill).

Will definitely not leave it as long before we go again but will just as definitely ask not to be seated at table 14!

We went on Saturday night for a meal in this restaurant. We had as a main course, chicken with mushroom risotto. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the risotto was like rice pudding. A big disappointment as we were expecting something better for the price the charged. The service was OK although to be fair they were busy. May be we were unlucky?

We decided to try Rosie's for our ladies get together this month. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived just before 8pm but we were greeted by a nice barmaid and shown to our table downstairs.
We ordered a bottle of wine but the waitress came back to tell us they had run out of it so we chose an alternative which the waitress finally served after waiting around 20 minutes. When we went to refill the glasses we noticed we were served a different wine to what we ordered.

We ordered our meals and waited at least 45 minutes for them. Two of us chose Beef Wellington @ £18.50. It was a very small thin fillet steak inside a very large pastry, the taste was good but steak could have been a decent portion so disappointing, not at all value for money.

It was hard to get the attention of any waitress to order more wine or water and the service was very slow, we waited a long time to have our plates cleared too. I did see they are advertising for staff so this could be why, but you shouldn't have to go up to the bar to ask for the bill.

Had visited before a while ago and it was good but the experience on this visit not good, so wouldn't rush back.
