After spending a whole day in the Historic Dockyard I decided to pop in to the local museum. I was impressed with the architecture of the buildingbut I was worrying that the display would be predictable, boring and typical - stuffed animals, china and paintings. Thankfully I was wrong! Comparing to the size of the building, displays are relatively small nd not packed (or I didn't feel it). I really enjoyed display on Portsmouth's past (1st floor) - with mannekins and sounds. Great, unexpected addition was exhibition on Sherlock Holmes with some rare findings such as the first edition of 'A Study in Scarlet'. Overall, really nice visit!
