On a very wet and windy evening Jags welcomed us with a warm atmosphere and good friendly service was well received. Really tasty steak cooked to my liking and my husbands meat tatties went down a treat.... Good luck Jags we shall be back soon ! Recommended

“Delightful taste of fifties America”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

Visited about 6 times now and always loved it. Very surprised to read the terrible reviews as it has always delivered for us. It could do with a few more customers to create a little more atmosphere but hopefully more people will discover this delightfully decorated diner and sample some great tasting food - especially the breakfast pancake stack which is truly American portion size!

“Not somewhere I would visit again!!!”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

Needing some food after tiring weekend, the American Diner was very appealing, however, having ordered the southern fried chicken and sweet potato fries, they had no taste, well - not entirely true - there was a distinct taste of grease / oil. My partner ordered the pulled pork burger which was very sweet and disappointing.
The money seems to have been spent on the décor as that looked great, however, think they may have lacked attention on creating a tasty product,

“Bad food, small portions and poor value for money.”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

I found the whole eating experience tragic. The BBQ sauce on my ribs and chicken was disappointing, it had a strong taste of vinegar and really overpowered the food. I had a sharing platter and the whole meal would have fit on a yellow post it note. I would not go there again and I would advise anyone to eat there. Chow.
