My boys (aged 6, 4 and 3) totally love this place - i totally love it too because it is free! It seems like a real adventure to go round the underground passages, especially if is is cold and damp. There are a few places which i had to be extra vigilant as the walls were high and the steps were steep. i would definately recommend taking a picnic as the cafe seems overpriced and far away from all the action.. last time we went, there was a Commando course in the central part which cost about £3 each - but was definitely worth it. Some of the exhibits in the museum are slightly complex for kids of this age, but there is still plenty to occupy them outside. Lots of free craft activities going on in the holidays - A good place to go with lively boys with tons of energy
