Spent the one night here, midweek on a business trip.
Upon arrival I discovered that the ‘parking’ advertised on the website wasn’t actually at the hotel but in the adjoining Gunwharf Quays multi storey car park, parking is however complimentary for the first 24 hours for hotel guests.
Check In was ok, I was allocated room 301, top floor but first room by the lifts so noisy.
My room was a refurbished room, looks cheap and very Ikea/Argos like. Strangest bathroom ever with a separate toilet and shower with no light and then a ‘beautiful antique’ Formica corner sink and mirror from the 1990’s. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I didn’t like the pillows but this is very much a personal choice.
Had a drink in the bar, reasonable choice, good service but no atmosphere.
I thought my room overlooked a block of flats but halfway through the night I realised it was student accommodation as it was so noisy outside with drunken students.
Breakfast was disappointing, why can a Premier Inn do so much better breakfast than a Holiday Inn Express.
Would I stay again? It was all about the location for me, it wouldn’t be my first choice, if I can avoid I would.More
