All round a wonderful and so varied experience. Difficult to choose the best. My grandson really enjoyed boat house four, with fun activities for him, and the harbour boat trip. We will certainly return.

The historic dockyard is certainly worth several visits, which is why I say to buy the annual ticket as it's better value. We originally visited earlier this year and saw the Mary Rose and Victory and other parts of the site, but went back again recently to see HMS Warrior and do the water tour which was fascinating. We also visited the boatyard in shed 4 which again is great to see various boats at varying stages of repair.

Fascinating exhibitions but the Jutland exhibition was poorly laid out and many of the keys to the exhibits in the display cabinets required one to kneel down to see them. I would say it was laid out by young people who don’t appreciate that their elders are not as clear sighted nor as flexible to be able to read badly placed signs.

There is a wealth of fascinating material but it’s layout assumed a significant level of knowledge of the subject, or else a lack of interest in the details. Could do better!

Enjoyed our visit to the dockyard however we were disappointed that on board Victory there are currently no audio guides available due to some technical problem. Although there are guys on board you can’t keep asking them about the ship so actually we visited Victory but learned very little. I’m sure they will resolve this in the future but please bear this in mind before you go.

This was a trip we had wanted to do for a long time and it was worth the wait. Staff incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Well laid out exhibitions. Victory was just amazing and the Mary Rose even more so. The Jutland exhibition really made you think as did the Submarine display. So glad we went.

Great day out with the grandkids you can fill the day up with things to do and see didn’t have time to get bored we went out however for lunch as very expensive to eat in there especially with 3 grandkids and two adults chippy not far then went back in afterwards to look around some more worth a visit

Great exhibits, definitely need two days to see everything. Victory and Warrior are must sees.
Action Exhibit was great for the kids.

You will want to get entry to the attractions, but even just for a walk about it is very well maintained and presented.
All guides are very helpful, but it is very open, and rarely warm by the water so ensure you bring some layers.

This is a real gem and well worth the visit. one tip to avoid paying the high entry price is to buy an annual ticket on Groupon - we saved 50% of the entry price on the day. there is so much to see one day isn't enough - hence the reason for an annual ticket. HMS Victory and Warrior are a must and a water taxi to the submarine HMS Alliance needs to be planned in advance to ensure you don't wait around too long for the boat. each attraction is well worth seeing but you need to plan your day to ensure you get to see everything you want. inevitably you won't see everything.

On this visit we concentrated of visiting the submarine HMS Alliance. The tour through the actual submarine was very informative as was the museum section.
