My wife and myself have had a wonderful time at the Ocean Hotel & Appartments we stayed in Appartment 101 which has a wonderful view of the Prom. The appartment is very spacious and fully equiped. My wife has to use Wheelchair as walkig aid when out and about and requires space for getting into and out of car we were given the best access space in the car park which was designated as Disabled for our stay. Thank you all.
We stayed at the Ocean Hotel for one night , the staff were very friendly and most helpful, We were able to watch The Isle of Man TT racing on the TV in the bar ,Whilst having a few beer's and a good banter with the staff.The room was clean and had a great sea view, Good breakfast to start the day, All we needed .
My elderly parents had a pleasant stay at the Ocean last week, they made positive comments of the reception staff being approachable, helpful and really friendly, making them feel welcome. They particularly enjoyed the breakfasts and the kitchen staff who couldn't do enough for them. Staff assisted with their luggage on their departure making an overall good impression from start to finish. No problem in booking this hotel again.
As a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) we often have trouble finding hotel rooms, but over the phone I was able to book an inter-connecting room for all of us, and on negotiation was even discounted from the rack rate. This was on a high floor and with a sea view and in a quiet location. Given that this hotel is a 2* rating I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, very spacious and comfortable. Furnishings and décor was a little dated but that did not concern me at all - we were there to see the sights of Southsea and Portsmouth and not spend hours in the room. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and patient with us and our children, who can be quite raucous at times as they are only aged 11, 8 and 5. The free parking was a bonus too. I would certainly recommend Ocean hotel for a 2 night, no-frills but comfortable stay to see Southsea and Portsmouth.
Staffs are warm, friendly, very polite, welcoming, informative and very sincere which lacks in many hotels. Facilities are spotless, all in all an amazing venue in itself.
The rooms are extremely well finished and immaculately clean.
A high level of comfort and well equipped.
